Allowing borrowed words to be heartfelt
Remain dedicated to this craft only if
I’m no longer writing for me….
But for someone else.

To selflessly scribe w/sophistication
Mindful of diverse demographics & ages
Reciprocating comments left for appreciation
And eliminate vulgarity when emphasizing cases.

To open a mature mind venting vehemently
So produced points can be punctuated
Paroling all words serving time for creativity
And disregard the # of stars when rated.

To respect this allegiance w/humility
While insuring the ink discharging from my pen
Create concrete concepts objectively
And copy write my work for all those hatin’

Scenarios shadowboxing in its sanctuary
Musical vibes stimulating my cognition
So writer’s block doesn’t conquer what’ s in me.

Authorizing predicates to proposition subjects
Causing words on alternate lines to rhyme
Threads having tantrums about being in a quartet
Given incentives to make it work…
Just one more time.

Rhetoric regurgitated for my readers to relish
Similes smiling @ someone they never met-aphor
Lyrics Prosing Satires to make Verses jealous
Knowing Narratives Oded Hai-kus a gesture.

Parsing a manufactured classic to publish

Crediting HE cause I’m never selfish

A mental challenge verse the physical existence
Raising questions about the black women infected
Pushing for higher education with persistence
As we have “World Trade” w/Bin Ladin undetected..

Ain't that a Bytch…

Keys being misplaced to prisons holdin’ my race
Propositions being 8 by mandates suggested
Hoping Obama is conditioned for burdens he’ll face
Grindin’ on a daily so my daughter is never neglected.

Who wouldn’t…

My social conscience has anxiety about socialism
Global warming drying tears of frustration
Protesting racial epithets to those that’ll listen
While our economy sleeps on park benches during this recession..

Bail me out…

Losing 2 brothers put life in perspective
Trusting that one day @ a time is “God’s Plan”
Bypassing a cancer stricken family is the objective
Blessed that there were “footprints” left in the sand..

No need to ask why either..!!

Life jacket protecting a pessimistic pen

Skeptical how standing on this board will be
Relying on gift I’m blessed HE gave
Poetry in motion for my readers to see.

Inner chatter initiating the inevitable
Thoughts transcending tides @ sea
Drowning this thread will be regrettable
If done right, it will be marked in history.

A responsive mind surfing to success
Within seconds this ride will be over
I did my best is what’s professed
As I crash ashore…
And brush this sand off my shoulder…!!

Hoping the name “BOND” is what she’ll represent
Not caring about a knee when I try this.

Will u marry me?

An answer surrendering within seconds
Tears following yeses out her mouth
Thankful for one of HIS many blessings
Eliminating any misconceptions and doubt.

Contemplating when to tell our parents
An intimate night that we’re yearning
Having a void filled is so apparent
We’ll break the news in the morning..

Modifying a mentality in order to confess.

Dissecting dialogues to annul hidden agendas
Aware that feelings are all you have
Compatible to that of a Virgos temper
Intolerant to diaries of woman gone mad.

Matured steps of confidence taken
Creative changes pumping truth thru a pen
Naked ring finger is never 2nd guessing
Why I have yet to find my bestfriend…

Instances relived didn’t matter
Pardoned principles unlikely this time
Birds singing about facts now gathered
Confused how a situation is left in a bind.

Trying to value something priceless
Not wanting truth to be set free
Weeping away dreams dreamt in distress
Saying if was meant to be…
