Floating on calm waters alone
Life jacket protecting a pessimistic pen
Ideas being ebbed from shore to hone
In hopes that in time I’ll catch 10.
Creating concepts for a crested wave
Skeptical how standing on this board will be
Relying on gift I’m blessed HE gave
Poetry in motion for my readers to see.
Inner chatter initiating the inevitable
Thoughts transcending tides @ sea
Drowning this thread will be regrettable
If done right, it will be marked in history.
A responsive mind surfing to success
Within seconds this ride will be over
I did my best is what’s professed
As I crash ashore…
And brush this sand off my shoulder…!!
